Here are some central Ohio development projects to watch in 2025.
An iconic sports bar in Dublin will take a new form next year.
The famous Bogey Inn is being transformed into an entertainment hub with everything from indoor and outdoor bars, live entertainment, various food options and a 27-hole putting course.
Rise Brands, known for its popular local entertainment venues like Pins Mechanical Co. and 16-Bit Bar + Arcade, announced the project Wednesday.
A demolition permit has been issued for the existing building and work is expected to begin as soon as Wednesday.
Expected to become a 3-acre entertainment destination, the new Bogey Inn will include family-focused activities with its entire campus paying homage to the traditional memories of the spot.
The Memorial Tournament at the Muirfield Village Golf Club, adjacent to the restaurant, will also collaborate on this project.
“We sought out to secure The Bogey Inn property to ensure we had input and contributed to the evolution of the iconic venue,” said Dan Sullivan, executive director of the Memorial Tournament.
“We took time to review what was best for the cherished brand and the important corner of Dublin and determined that Rise Brands is the perfect partner.”
First opening in the 1920s as the Dam Bar, The Bogey Inn, located at 6013 Glick Road, closed in 2022 after the owner died. Muirfield Golf Club bought the building shortly thereafter. Last October, an auction was held for Bogey memorabilia.
The new entertainment campus is expected to finish in the summer of next year with its opening planned during the 2026 Memorial Tournament.
