Since her first album, If My Wife New I’d Be Dead, was released two years ago, CMAT has been nominated for a total of seven awards and won the Choice Music Prize in 2022.
CMAT has previously headlined at the 3Olympia Theatre and Fairview Park, and performed at Electric Picnic this year.
Now, she is celebrating the one-year anniversary of her second album, Crazymad, For Me, with a mini-me version of herself.
The doll comes with a “replica stage outfit, an acoustic guitar, adorable boots and questionable hair”.
Announcing the doll, CMAT said: “To celebrate the one-year release of my second album, Crazymad, For Me, I have commissioned a doll likeness of myself which you can purchase should you wish to do so.
“This is a very normal thing for me to do. The CMAT comes with an outfit, boots, and a tiny little acoustic guitar.
“The hair on this doll is ‘interesting’ so if you buy a doll, you can join a once-off ‘Style With Niall’ zoom with me, CMAT, and the one and only Niall Candy, my makeup-artist and rabid doll collector, to help you achieve maximum slay.
“PS this is the stupidest thing I’ve ever done. I’m finished and will become a very serious artist after this, I promise.”
The collector’s item went up for pre-order on October 13 and sold out within hours. However, those who want to get their hands on this merchandise may have a second chance.
“I cannot believe how many people have ordered the doll in such a short amount of time,” CMAT said.
“Thank you all so much. I am so happy that you all believe in the power of kitschy fun as much as I do. Every day I am so grateful to God up in heaven for inventing gay people.
“Keep your eyes peeled if you missed out and really want a doll.”
