Aer Lingus will launch an “almost year-round” UK-Nashville link, via Dublin, in the spring with feeder flights from eight UK airports.
The four-times-weekly service will get under way next April, operating throughout the year bar a six-week period in January and February.
Connecting flights into Dublin will be available from eight UK airports, including Edinburgh, Heathrow and Manchester.
Aer Lingus will operate the route on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays using a new Airbus A321XLR aircraft, starting 12 April.
Outbound flights are timed at nine hours five minutes, leaving Dublin at 2.05pm and arriving in Nashville at 5.10pm. Return flights clock in at eight hours 10 minutes, leaving Nashville at 6.40pm and arriving in Dublin at 8.50am the following morning.
Return fares from Dublin – excluding UK connections – are on sale now and lead in from €499pp (£420pp).
Operating the route via Dublin will allow passengers to complete US customs pre-clearance in Ireland rather than when they arrive in Nashville.
Nashville is known as Music City and is home to some of the oldest musical institutions in the world.
