An ‘ongoing incident’ has been reported at Dublin Airpot and it is believed to be affecting motorists in the area.

An Garda Síochána posted on X shortly after 1pm on Sunday afternoon about the incident, although strangely the post has since been deleted.

It was originally said that Gardai were attending the scene, but no further details were provided. However it was advised that traffic in the area has been affected and delays were expected as a result.

The Irish Mirror report that An Garda Síochána initially wrote: “Traffic Update Dublin: Gardaí at Dublin Airport are currently at scene of an ongoing incident and wish to advise that traffic in the area is affected. Motorists are advised to expect delays in the area.”

Dublin Airport has not yet provided information about the nature of the incident. An Garda Síochána and the daa (Dublin Airport Authority) have been contacted for comment.
