FORMER Limerick hurler Brian Ryan is set to line out for the Dublin senior hurlers in the 2025 season.
The Irish Independent has reported that Brian Ryan is set to play inter-county hurling for the first time in four years.
Brian Ryan transfered from South Liberties to Dublin club Na Fianna in 2023. The Limerick native is part of the Na Fianna that have advanced into the All-Ireland senior hurling club final.
Na Fianna defeated Loughrea in the All-Ireland semi-final. Ryan has an impressive campaign in midfield for the north Dublin outfit throughout the Dublin, Leinster and All-Ireland SHC.
Na Fianna are currently managed by Dublin senior hurling manager Niall Ó Ceallacháin. Brian Ryan will now link up with his club manager Niall Ó Ceallacháin for the 2025 inter-county season.
The former Limerick hurler was previously part of the Limerick senior hurling panel where he received gametime during the National League campaigns in 2020 and 2021. In 2020, Brian Ryan was part of the extended Limerick senior hurling panel that went onto to win the All-Ireland title.
Brian’s father Brian has been manager of the Univeristy of Limerick Fitzgibbon Cup team in recent seasons.
