The Westport to Heuston train was delayed at Roscommon Town station this morning due to a medical incident onboard.

The 7.15am train service, which departed from Co Mayo, was delayed at Roscommon as an ambulance was required due to a “passenger issue onboard”.

In an online post, Irish Rail said, “Westport/Heuston delayed at Roscommon awaiting an ambulance due to a passenger issue onboard.”

In a further update, Irish Rail confirmed that the train had departed Roscommon Town Station after a delay of 22 minutes.
