It comes as hotel prices skyrocketed during big events in the capital this summer.

Hundreds of new apartments will be ready soon for those visiting Dublin.

A new report from Savills shows close to 700 new apartment units will be available to rent in the next 3 years.

The locations are city centre based – with two either side of O’Connell Street, one near Baggot Street and another near Capel Street.

They’re being described as ‘serviced apartments’ which is hotel-like accommodation but similar to renting a flat.

The demand for hotel rooms was stretched this summer with big events like Taylor Swift, Coldplay and the Aviva College Football game.

Savills say it’s also a sign that Dublin is growing in popularity for digital nomads – who work from these apartments for a few weeks at a time.
