Dubliners Barry Keoghan and Eve Hewson, daughter of U2 frontman Bono, have been recognised among the top 10 stars of 2024.
IMDb, the Internet Movie Database, has revealed the “10 stars consistently ranked highest on the IMDbPro STARmeter chart throughout 2024”.
Derry Girls and Bridgerton star Nicola Coughlan, from Galway, was also named on the list, bringing the total of Irish names to three.
Keoghan, known as one of Ireland’s brightest acting talents, received widespread acclaim with his Academy Award-nominated performance in Banshees of Inisherin and, more recently, Saltburn.
In 2024, roles in Masters of the Air, Bird, and Bring Them Down, have kept him in the spotlight.

Eve Hewson has also been steadily gaining prominence in Hollywood since starting out in films such as This Must Be the Place (2011) and Enough Said (2013).
More recently, her leading performance in the Netflix romantic comedy Flora and Son (2023) showcased her musical talents alongside her acting.
She has also played a leading role in the ensemble cast of Apple TV’s hit series Bad Sisters, which recently returned for a second series.

Nicola Coughlan, who also featured in the top 10 list, captured hearts with her performances in hit series such as Derry Girls (2018–2022), where her comedic timing shone as Clare Devlin.
She further rose to international fame as Penelope Featherington in the Netflix period drama Bridgerton, a role that has expanded in prominence with each season.
In 2024, she starred in Barbie Dreamhouse Challenge and other high-profile projects.
