ONE young Kerry fans stole the show during the Kingdom’s All-Ireland senior football final win over Galway.
Darragh Long and Declan Quill’s side ended a 30-year wait for glory with a comprehensive 3-14 to 0-11 victory over the Tribal County on Sunday.

30,340 people turned out to Croke Park for the game, with Kerry fans celebrating their side avenge final defeats in 2022 and 2023.
Amongst those who were in the stands was a young boy who brought with him a sign that read ‘I’m a ladies man’ with a cheeky winky face to go along with it.
TG4 captured the sign on the big screen and, the longer the camera lingered on it, the more of a roar welcomed it from others in GAAHQ.
The clip of the sign being shown on the big screen was shared to Twitter by sports journalist and host of The Kerry Football Podcast Adam Moynihan.
He said: “This young Kerry fan put a smile on everyone’s face when he appeared on the big screen during the ladies’ All-Ireland football final”
The reaction was unanimously positive, with Ann saying: “There’s a young gentleman with the right attitude, at the women’s All-Ireland football final today.
“Kerry won – us Cork people will never hear the end of it”
Dermot Keyes posted: “Take a bow, son…” while Marianne McGrath tweeted: “Love this – best sign for years!!”

It has been a hugely successful summer for Declan Quill and Darragh Long’s side, who lost the Division 1 final to Armagh before claiming Munster and All-Ireland honours.
It could have been very different, however, with the joint-managers hell bent on leaving their posts at the end of the 2023 campaign.
They changed their mind and, speaking after the All-Ireland final, Long expressed his delight that they did.
He said: “Perseverance is some trait and we have it in abundance.
“We wrote down four items 5½ years ago when we took this job.
“We have ticked every box as of today. We could have thrown in the towel last year and we were super close to doing that. We thought we had run our race.
“We thought we had asked as much of the girls as we could ask of them. But the girls wanted us back.
“It was tough losing against Meath two years ago but we probably weren’t expected to win. A lot thought we’d win last year so that one hurt.
“Last year still hurts even though we won today. But today is also going to make up for every bit of sacrifice we have asked of them and that they have asked of us over the last couple of years.”
