All eyes of the boxing world will be on Leeds, as the highly anticipated rematch goes down between Josh Taylor and Jack Catterall.
The first bout between the pair ended in controversy, as Taylor retained his status as undisputed world super-lightweight champion with a contentious split-decision victory in February 2022.
Since then, Taylor has lost all the titles, and his unbeaten professional record ended with a unanimous points defeat by Teofimo Lopez 12 months ago.
Outside of the main event, it could be a big night for two Irish boxers, with Paddy Donovan and Gary Cully aiming to make big statements.
For Donovan, he is on a roll in the welterweight division, with a 13-0 record including 10 knockouts.
2023 was a big year for the Limerick boxer, as he won three fights, including two on the Katie Taylor and Chantelle Cameron cards, which Eddie Hearn was hugely impressed by.
Donovan started 2024 with a win over Williams Andres Herrera in Belfast, and a win in his biggest test over Lewis Riston in his biggest test of his career could put the welterweight division on alert.
The Limerick boxer said earlier this week he is two wins off a title shot. However, with Terence Crawford holding three of the four belts and attempting to win titles in a third division, it is unclear what exactly his path to a title is.
In lightweight, Gary Cully takes on Belgium’s Francesco Patera for the WBA Continental European lightweight title.
Cully recovered from a shock knockout defeat to Jose Felix this time last year when he defeated Reece Mould in November.
A win for Cully would put him closer to world title contention in a stacked lightweight division.
