Bray Emmets 5-20 Barndarrig 1-9

Tristan Doherty of Bray Emmets is challenged by Shane Whelan of Barndarrig.

Bray Emmets are out of the Intermediate hurling championship even after comprehensively beating already eliminated Barndarrig in the final Group 1 game in Greystones on Sunday.

Despite winning two out of three group games, and having a better points difference than both Aughrim and Carnew, the two teams they finished level on points with, Bray bow out due to having a lower points differential in matches in the games where the teams tied on points played each other. This rule sees Aughrim and Carnew through to the semi-finals, and Bray’s hopes come to a heartbreaking end.
