Bray Lions Club is offering an opportunity to refresh your wardrobe while helping protect the environment, with a Spring Swap Shop taking place in the Little Flower Hall, Main Street Bray on Sunday, May 19, from 2pm. All are invited to bring along ‘as new’ clothing, shoes, bags and other clothing accessories and exchange them for similar items where possible.

Visitors will receive a voucher for every item they bring, which can be exchanged for any of the hundreds of items which will be on display. Any items not claimed by 5pm will be sold at bargain prices beginning at €2.

Tea, coffee and snacks will also be available.

Commenting on the initiative, Bray Lions Club Project Leader Irene Milner said: “As part of our on-going environmental activity, we want to encourage people to prolong the life of their clothing and accessories by exchanging them for items which are new to their wardrobes.

“We are highly conscious of the enormous volume of clothing which is put into the waste system, and any reduction in this will benefit the environment,” she added. The Swap Shop will help freshen up your wardrobe while making Bray an environmentally-friendly community.
