The Barberstown Castle Sapphire Style Award comes with an incredible prize
Broadcaster Brian Dowling and Dancing with the Stars’ Arthur Gourounlian have been announced as judges for this year’s prestigious Barberstown Castle Sapphire Style Award at The Irish Oaks Weekend.
The awards will see the Curragh turning blue on July 20 as all eyes of the horsing and fashion world will be fixed on the Kildare racecourse.
The stylish husbands, who got married in 2015, are no strangers to winning awards – with both bringing home the most Stylish Man of the Year awards at the VIP Style awards in 2023 and 2024 respectively.
They will bring a wealth of expertise and discerning taste to the judging panel.
With their keen eye for fashion and impeccable sense of style, they are set to identify the epitome of dazzling elegance amongst the festival attendees.
The winner of the Barberstown Castle Sapphire Style Award will receive an exclusive prize package, including €5,000, the trophy, a luxurious two-night stay at Barberstown Castle (Sep 14 to 16), tickets to the Champions Festival at The Curragh (September 15), courtesy transportation to and from the races and lunch at The Curragh on the day.
In addition, the top 10 finalists will each receive a goody bag filled with stylish treats and essentials.
Arthur Gourounlian expressed his excitement about the day, saying, “I am thrilled to work with Barberstown Castle! It’s amazing to have the opportunity to celebrate style and elegance alongside all those entering this years’ Barberstown Castle Sapphire Style Award. We look forward to seeing the creativity and sophistication showcased by the attendees and turning the Curragh blue this year. Let’s Do This!”
Managing Director of Barberstown Castle Hotel, Ted Robinson said, “We are delighted to return for a third year to sponsor the Barberstown Castle Sapphire Style Award.
