DUBLIN, IRELAND – Juan Callejo Ropero continues to lead the field at the Lyons Links after carding a 68 (-4) in round two. Wake Forest is hosting the tournament at the par-72, 7,289-yard, Royal Dublin Golf Club in Dublin, Ireland.
As a team, Elon carded a 283 (-5) in the second round to sit in second place with a 36-hole total of 568 (-8). Wake Forest is in first with a 22-under par 554.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Juan Callejo Ropero is in first place in the field with low rounds of 68 and 67. The senior carded a bogey free round two that included two birdies and an eagle on hole 14.
- Freshman Bizzell Pate carded another round of 71 (-1) to tie for ninth place. Pate had two birdies to offset one bogey to maintain his spot on the individual leaderboard.
- Garrett Risner had four birdies on the day to finish round two with a 1-under par 71 and is tied for 14th place.
- Jack Wieler moved up four spots on the individual leaderboard after carding an even-par 72 in round two. Wieler carded an eagle for the second time this tournament and three birdies to sit in a tie for 20th place.
- Matthew Doyle is also tied for 20th place with a 36-hole total of 147 (+3).
- Bronson Myers improved his score by four stroke to move up three spots on the individual leaderboard. Myers carded an even-par 72 in round two and is tied for 23rd place.
- Landon Durham and Timmy Gannon are tied for 33rd place with a 36-hole total of 152 (+8).
