A “WARM-HEARTED” young carpenter working in Dublin has sadly passed away after suffering a heart attack while training in the gym.
His friends are now organising a fundraiser to repatriate his body back to his home in Romania.
Alexandru Fusneica, 27, was described by pals in a GoFundMe appeal as a “dedicated shuttering carpenter and a warm-hearted individual who was alway ready to help anyone in need”.
The fundraiser added: “Those who knew him can attest to his kindness and generosity.”
The Romanian had been living and working in Dublin before he tragically died while training in the gym.
Alexandru suffered a cardiac arrest during a kickboxing session and despite fighting for two hours, he ultimately passed away.
And his pals also revealed how his shock came just a year after he was “brutally attacked” and left in a coma for a month with a slim chance of recovery.
He managed to defy the odds, making what his friend described as “a miraculous recovery”.
Within six months he was back in work and training “with more determination than ever”.
The fundraiser explained: “Alexandru’s life was filled with both immense challenges and remarkable strength. His journey from that nightmarish incident to becoming stronger and more disciplined was truly inspiring.”

Now, his friends and family are hoping to use the funds raised to send him home to Romania.
The fundraiser explained: “His passing has left his family and friends heartbroken and devastated.
“In Alexandru’s memory and to support his grieving family, we are raising funds to repatriate his body back to Romania.
“The pain of losing him twice in one year is unimaginable. Any contribution, no matter how small, will help alleviate the burden on his family during this difficult time.
“Please help us honor Alexandru’s memory by giving him the dignified farewell he deserves. Your support means the world to us.”
The appeal has an ultimate goal of €6,000 – and it is already more than half the way to reaching it.
