Cian Ducrot will ring in the New Year at Dublin Castle’s countdown concert.

The Cork singer-songwriter is set to take to the stage for one night only in the intimate surroundings as part of New Year’s Festival Dublin.

Mr Ducrot will wrap up a phenomenal 2024 where he watched his debut album Victory soar to the top of the albums chart in both Ireland and the UK, saw his biggest Irish tour to date sell out in a matter of minutes and performed two sold out headline shows at St. Annes Park, Dublin (20,000 capacity) and Virgin Media Park, Cork (16,000 capacity) last summer.

He will be joined by special guests Dubliner Aby Coulibaly, who supported Coldplay at their recent sold out Croke Park shows, international Viral sensations Kabin Crew and Lisdoonvarna Crew and singer songwriter Saibh Skelly.

Director of Product Development at Fáilte Ireland, Orla Carroll said: “Fáilte Ireland is pleased to announce the return of New Year’s Festival Dublin.

“Every year this festival presents an excellent opportunity to showcase the best of Ireland’s culture and live music – and the 2024 programme is no exception.

“A flagship event in Fáilte Ireland’s Winter in Dublin programme, the festival offers a line-up of music and entertainment for the whole family to enjoy.

“It also plays a key role in attracting both international and domestic visitors during the shoulder season, which is an essential economic driver for the local communities and businesses across Dublin and the wider region.”

Developed by Fáilte Ireland in association with the Office of Public Works, this festival hosts three days of celebrations across the city with a lineup of musical acts set to perform from December 30, 2024 through to January 1, 2025.

New Year’s Festival Dublin offers a host of entertainment and events for all ages. The full programme of events for New year’s Festival Dublin will be announced in a few weeks.
