According to a release, the grant worth $939,537 is aimed at addressing several issues for the neighborhoods connected by West Mary Street including storm drainage and street conditions.
City officials said these problems lead to frequent flooding, especially during heavy rain.
Dublin Mayor Joshua Kight expressed excitement for the grant and what it means for the West Mary Street community.
The City of Dublin is committed to improving our community’s infrastructure,” said Mayor Kight. “This grant will fund stormwater and street upgrades that will improve the safety and quality of life in the West Mary Street neighborhood. We extend our thanks to the Georgia Department of Community Affairs for recognizing the importance of this project and providing the funds to see it through to completion.”
