The north Cork trio of Tommy and Paul Walsh from Kanturk as well as Knocknagree’s Daniel O’Mahony have been significant for Cork this year and their main qualities will need to be on full display if Cork are to win this one

Cork senior midfielder Colm in action against Conall Devlin of Tyrone during Cork’s 2019 All-Ireland U20 Championship semi-final win at O’Connor Park in Tullamore, Offaly. The two counties meet at the same venue in their All-Ireland SFC Group 3 round 3 match on Saturday with O’Callaghan hoping for a repeat success over the Red Hand county

One would be forgiven for thinking that the only Cork men’s senior inter-county side in action this weekend is the county’s hurlers, such is the hype about the return of Pat Ryan’s charges to action and the lack of information anywhere regarding John Cleary’s side’s Round 3 clash with Tyrone on the same day.

One supposes it is no surprise to see Cleary’s men doubling up with their hurling cousins in Tullamore this Saturday for a double-header that makes sense from as logistical point of view. However, it is rare to see footballers taking to the pitch before hurlers but that is the case this weekend – and the powers-that-be have this one live on GAAGO starting at 3pm.
