Cork-based professional services company Mackin Group is to create a property arm after the acquisition of two hotels, one in Dundalk and one in the US.

The company purchased the 22-bedroom boutique Derryhale Hotel in Dundalk earlier this year and has also acquired the Firehouse Inn in Rutherfordton, North Carolina, both of which will come under the group’s new hospitality brand, Roy’s.
