Paul Coughlan held off a strong field to win the Castleknock Senior Scratch Cup.
The Munster Strokeplay champion came out of the traps fast with a superb seven-under 65 to lead the way after the morning 18.
Coughlan never let up in the afternoon and backed that up with a solid 67 to win by five shots on twelve-under-par.
Coughlan’s Castleknock teammate Quentin Carew claimed second place on seven-under after he carded an afternoon round of 65 while Royal Dublin’s Jack McDonnell also finished on seven-under after rounds of 70 and 67.
In total, sixteen players finished under par for the 36 holes.
Meanwhile in Kilkenny, David Reddan claimed the senior scratch cup on one-over-par after a second round of 68 saw him leapfrog the leaders and finish one stroke ahead of Eddie Power and Billy McGarry.
