The Community Tobacco Project in County Wicklow Partnership (CWP) will mark World No Tobacco Day on May 31 by holding an art competition for all ages.

Since 2017, the County Wicklow Partnership and the Community Tobacco Project have been raising awareness around tobacco and making areas in County Wicklow smoke-free, including playgrounds and GAA grounds.

This will be the Community Tobacco Project’s first time running the art competition, which will feature five age-based categories: 0-5 years; 6-8 years; 9-12 years; 12-17, (teens) and 18+ (adults).

Submitted images must only be 2D, with materials that can be used including pencils, crayons, markers, pastels and paint.

Entrants can submit as many entries as they like, and to be eligible, entrants must be from the County Wicklow area, enter in the appropriate age category and submit their image by no later than 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 26.

Deliver your image to Mailyn Bass, County Wicklow Partnership, Floor 3 Avoca River House, Bridgewater Centre, Arklow Y14 V277 (drop it in person or by post)

All entries must include the entrant’s full name, age category, address, and the name and contact telephone number of a parent or guardian. If coming from a school, the name of the student, school and the school’s address and phone number are sufficient.

Winners will be chosen by judges external to CWP on or before Thursday, May 30, and winners will be announced on Friday, May 31, at 4 p.m.
