At the launch of the D’Arcy Sand Intermediate Football Championship were Zac Cullen (Avondale), Colin Osbourne (Donard-The Glen), David McDonald, (Laragh), Tom Enright (Newtown), James Murphy (Ballinacor), Wicklow GAA Chairman Damien Byrne, Eoghan Dolan (Coolkenno), Matthew Kelly (Hollywood), Keith Reynolads (Killcoole), Martin O’Brien (Annacurra), Eoin Kavanagh (Carnew Emmets) and Liam Byrne (Ballymanus).

Every year when the D’Arcy Sand Intermediate Football Championship appears on the horizon you can’t help but feel that little tingle in the belly, the palms become moist, and the heart skips a beat as we prepare for yet another thrilling voyage that can throw up some sensation shocks and provide outstanding entertainment from start to finish.

Two groups of six teams filled with the potential for cracking contests will get their campaigns up and running this weekend with myriad plots, sub-plots and twists and turns coming up without a shadow of a doubt.
