Bengaluru, June 2 (UNI) Cricket Ireland has unveiled its jersey for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, featuring Karnataka Milk Federation’s Nandini as the official sponsor. The Nandini logo, in Kannada and English, is displayed on the leading arm of Ireland’s playing shirts and on their training jerseys and caps.
India’s dairy giant Amul is also sponsoring teams from Sri Lanka, South Africa, and the USA, making it two Indian milk cooperatives sponsoring five teams in the tournament.
Ireland’s kit, the last to be revealed, features Celtic knots and various shades of green.
Andrew May, CFO of Cricket Ireland, expressed delight in partnering with KMF, calling it a boost for Irish cricket. MK Jagadish, Managing Director of KMF, highlighted the global expansion of Nandini and its commitment to quality.
Jagadish also announced the endorsement of USA cricketer Nosthush Kenjige, who hails from Karnataka.
The ICC T20 World Cup begins on June 1, 2024, with Ireland’s first match against India on June 5. Group A includes the USA, Canada, and Pakistan.
KMF, with a presence in the Middle East, Singapore, Bhutan, Myanmar, and the US, plans to launch Nandini Splash, a whey-based energy drink, in the US during the tournament.
