A cyclist has died following a collision involving a lorry in Dublin this afternoon.
The fatal incident occurred at the junction of College Road and Castleknock Village at about 4.30pm.
The cyclist, a man aged in his 50s, was fatally injured.
No other injuries were reported.
The body of the man has been removed from the scene to the Mortuary in Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown and arrangements will now be made for a post-mortem.
Castleknock Village is currently closed as a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators is taking place.
Local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area at the time are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
