There has been a crash on the M1 this morning which may be causing delays for motorists.

The incident took place on the M1 southbound between Junction 5 – Balbriggan and Junction 4 – Donabate.

LiveDrive have reports that traffic is extremely slow from Junction 7 – Julianstown to after Junction 5 – Balbriggan adding that this is due to a collision near Lusk Service Station.

Other routes approaching Dublin experiencing delays include delays on the M50 between Junction 4 and Junction 12 southbound.

Traffic is also building on the M3 southbound, the M4 eastbound, the M7 eastbound and the M11 northbound.

Irish Rail have also announced there has been delays to some services this morning, as follows:

  • The 7.41 service from Drogheda to Grand Canal Dock is expected to be delayed due to a delay on a previous service.
  • The 7.50 Drogheda to Connolly service is also expected to be delayed departing
