Drivers are to expect delays as emergency services attend the scene of a road traffic incident in Dublin.

An incident was reported on the N3 between Junction 2 – Blanchardstown and Junction 1 – M50/N3 at 10.52am this morning.

It occurred in the southbound direction. The road is now closed.

It is advised that drivers seek alternative routes.

An Garda Síochána said: “Gardai Diversions are in place on the N3 inbound at Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, as Gardaí and emergency services attend a road traffic incident.

“Heavy traffic disruption is expected.”

Dublin City Council’s Traffic Management Centre also tweeted: “Garda Incident, N3 Inbound at Connolly Hospital. Long delays in the area.”
