COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – Drivers who use the busy Dublin/Marksheffel intersection can expect delays this week as the city begin preparations for major road work next year!
Starting in the spring, the city of Colorado Springs is revamping Dublin Boulevard, widening the stretch from Marksheffel Road to just west of Peterson Road. Improvements include making the two-land road into a four-lane road with shoulders and raised median.
In advance of that project, crews this week will be removing center median islands to make room for future temporary traffic alignments. Starting Monday morning and continuing through 5 p.m. Friday, lanes will be closed in both directions on Dublin.
“All turning movements will be possible at the Dublin Boulevard / Marksheffel Road intersection during this work. Travel delays are expected during peak hours, and alternate routes are advised,” the city said in a news release.
Similar closures are expected on Marksheffel next week.
