Airport operator daa said that after a record year in 2024, they are gearing up for the coming 12 months and inviting applications for a number of permanent roles.

“The addition of these new security staff members will help improve the service we offer to passengers even more in 2025,” he added.
Dublin Airport is offering positions with a starting salary of €17.47 per hour, access to a pension scheme, good career progression opportunities, subsidised staff meals and exclusive discounts in the airport.
There will be free parking and a staff shuttle bus provided for work hours, along with a supplied uniform and safety shoes.
Other perks include a flight subsidy, travel saver scheme and bike to work scheme.
There is a guaranteed minimum of 35 hours per week, with the potential to work up to 40 hours, across a 24/7 roster.
There will be a comprehensive induction and training program which includes ongoing assessments for Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) certification.
There is also access to a gym and swimming pool.
Among the day-to-day responsibilities are conducting the screening of passengers, staff, contractors and visitors, including the use of equipment like metal detectors and X-ray machines
Screen cabin baggage, provide information on security requirements (e.g., liquid volume restrictions), and assist in resolving queuing or congestion issues.
Security staff will be required to assist in emergencies, including fire safety marshalling.
Successful applicants will be expected to work a flexible, 24/7 shift schedule, including nights, bank holidays, and early mornings.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to read/write and comprehend English, is required.
