“T2: Sounds of Home is a celebration of the incredible musical talent we have in Ireland,” said Breffni Banks, IMRO Marketing & Membership Manager.

By showcasing artists to a diverse international audience, this partnership hopes to open doors to new opportunities both at home and abroad. Dublin Airport believes these live music performances will make arrivals and departures “memorable”.

The performance schedule boasts an impressive array of talent. From 10am to 12pm today, music lovers at T2 Arrivals were entertained with performances by Keywest and DeCarteret.

Following this, on October 4, the same time slot will feature the melodic sounds of Lemoncello and Big Sleep.

On October 11, T2 Departures will host the enchanting Dave Lofts and Toshín from 1pm to 3pm, and the final performance of the month will occur on October 18, with the dynamic duo FILMORE! and Rachel Mae Hannon taking the stage during the same hours.

“At Dublin Airport, we’re all about the special welcome. Tens of thousands of people walk through our doors every single day, and you see every kind of emotion in our terminals, from tearful goodbyes to joyous reunions and everything in between,” said Graeme McQueen, Head of Media Relations at daa, the operator of Dublin Airport.

“What better soundtrack to accompany all that takes place than some of Ireland’s best up-and-coming music artists?

“We’re thrilled to be teaming up with IMRO to bring live music into T2 for the month of October, and we believe passengers are going to love hearing great music every Friday as they move through the airport,” he added.
