High aircraft lease rates will slow fleet additions this year
Dublin-headquartered aircraft operator Avia Solutions Group intends to boost its fleet to about 700 jets by 2030 and remains ready to list on New York’s Nasdaq when it believes it’s opportune, according to founder and executive chairman Gediminas Ziemelis.
The company is the largest ACMI (aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance) operator in the world, with a fleet of 227 aircraft. More than 180 of those are passenger jets, with the remainder used for cargo. Its fleet is 90pc leased, and 10pc owned.
