Paschal Donohoe (50) has held his seat in the 2024 general election. Donohoe is the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform and has been a Fine Gael TD for Dublin Central since 2011.

He is also the current president of the Eurogroup and previously held the roles of minister for transport, tourism and sport, minister for finance and minister of state for European affairs.

Mr Donohoe was elected to Dublin City Council in 2004 for the Cabra-Glasnevin local electoral area.

During the last Dáil term, he admitted to a breach in electoral rules by receiving a corporate donation in 2020 that exceeded the strict limits imposed by law.

Generally an assured and calm performer, Donohoe also writes book reviews for The Irish Times and other publications. He is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin and prior to entering politics, he worked as a sales manager with a multinational company. Mr Donohoe is married with two children and lives in Phibsborough.
