A gym in a Dublin industrial estate has suffered extensive damage in a fire as emergency services rushed to tackle the blaze in the early hours of Friday morning.

The incident occurred at a business premises on Ballymount Road Lower, Dublin 12, at around 12.20am on June 14.

The fire is said to have caused extensive damage at the Ultimate Fitness Gym in the industrial estate, with other properties suffering water damage.

No injuries are being reported from the fire, which was extinguished by Dublin Fire Brigade. Gardai confirmed the scene was preserved for examination.

They said in a statement: ‘Gardai responded to reports of a fire at a business premises on Ballymount Road Lower, Dublin 12, shortly after midnight, on Friday, June 14, 2024.

‘Dublin Fire Brigade extinguished the fire. There were no reports of injuries. The scene was preserved for examination.’
