DUBLIN, Ohio — It’s one of the top spots on the PGA tour.

What You Need To Know

  • Dublin homeowners who live near the Muirfield Village Golf Course use ‘Rent Like a Champion’ to rent out their homes to golfers and spectators during the Memorial Tournament
  • Rent Like a Champion has been working with the Muirfield Village Golf Club and the Memorial Tournament for four years and has helped Dublin homeowners make close $1 million
  • According to the Rent Like a Champion CEO, Dave Longwell, the median earnings of a Dublin homeowner during the Memorial Tournament week are between $7,000-$10,000

But when professional golfers come to the Memorial Tournament, many are not only getting a top-notch golf course to play on, but first-class accommodations as well.

“Really enjoyed working with the people that rent like a champion,” said Rent Like a Champion homeowner, Jason McGarvey.

Jason McGarvey lives less than a mile from the golf course and in the last two years, he’s used the company ‘Rent Like a Champion’ to rent his home to one of the golfers in the field.

“We’ve had some positive experiences on both sides from the people that have that have rented our home as well as the Rent Like a Champion organization. And it’s something that honestly, it’s mutually advantageous to all parties,” said McGarvey.

McGarvey said he used to host watch parties from his home, but after the pandemic they decided to do something different.

“Maybe this is the time where we can stop stressing out about entertaining and hosting and maybe we can make our housework for us,” said McGarvey.

This is Rent Like a Champion’s fourth year working with the Muirfield Village Golf Club and the Memorial Tournament. It’s a partnership the organization is happy to work with and has helped homeowners in the Dublin community earn more money. According to the CEO of Rent Like a Champion, Dave Longwell, the median earnings for a homeowner in the Dublin area for the memorial tournament is about $7,000 to $10,000 for the week.

“We’ve helped local homeowners in the Dublin area earn over the last four years since 2020, just shy of $1,000,000. So, you know, it’s been a successful event for us. Our homeowners in the area have done very well.  We’ve helped local homeowners in the Dublin area earn over the last four years since 2020, just shy of $1,000,000. Meaning this week’s Memorial Tournament champion won’t be the only one taking home a big check.
