The 24-year-old, from Lucan, will perform at the Music of the Spheres World Tour from Thursday, August 29, for four nights, and insists she’s ready to go.

“I’ve rehearsed, everything sounds good, I’m confident, I’m prepared. It is once in a lifetime that you get to do something like this, but I get to do it four times, which is insane,” she told the Irish Independent.

“Sometimes if you just get to do it once you’re so overwhelmed and think, I wish I could do it again.

“I’m probably more excited to see Coldplay’s set because I grew up listening to them. I’ve always wanted to see them live, now I get to do that four times and also warm up the stage, it’s crazy.

“I’m the first one on stage and there’s going to be a lot of people who don’t know who I am. So it’s a nice way to introduce myself.

“The fact they have an Irish person on stage, that they’re giving an Irish artist the opportunity, is really nice. I’m pretty sure they’re doing that in each place they’ve gone to.

“They have Maggie Rogers touring with them. But Coldplay also has given an artist from each country they play in an opportunity.”

Aby started taking music seriously when she was 19 years old. Five years later, and she’s singing in Ireland’s biggest stadium, Croke Park.

“For me, it started in 2019. I started recording in my bedroom and uploading stuff to SoundCloud,” she said.

“I honestly don’t know how to write about anything, other than things that I’ve been through or that I’m currently going through.

“I’ve written about past relationships or things that have happened with friends, personal things, my skin condition, and my dad passing away. That’s how I express my emotions.

“Because of Covid, I wasn’t able to do shows or perform until late 2021. After SoundCloud, I was wondering how to put songs on Spotify. When I uploaded my first song onto Spotify, I guess it gained attention. Since then I’ve been releasing songs and doing gigs.

“Then I started doing gigs and I released my first project last year. Now, this is about to be the biggest show and the biggest stage I’ve ever played on.”
