MISSING: Gardaí are appealing for information as to the whereabouts of The All-Ireland Senior Football Championship. He is 137 years old, usually wears a Dublin or Kerry jersey and sometimes goes by the name of ‘Sam’. He failed to keep an appointment in April, hasn’t been seen since last July and may be in a confused state. Anyone with information as to his whereabouts may wish to contact the GAA, Croke Park, Dublin 3. The GAA say they’re not very concerned about his wellbeing.

The 11,176 attendance at Dublin’s qualifier against Roscommon last weekend sums up the catastrophic state of the football championship.
