It was lovely to attend the annual Expedia TAAP Lunch at Dublin’s Bang restaurant this afternoon.

Expedia TAAP helps travel agents to grow their business, earn commissions and deliver exceptional customer service with a ready-built, end-to-end booking platform. It offers traveller packages at 350,000+ properties with an average 20% off consumer rates.

When travel agents work with Expedia, they get access to the world’s largest travel itinerary where they can create tailored travel experiences with the vast Expedia partner network available in 200+ countries.

Having been an Expedia travel agent with my first business, Capture Travel, I can personally attest to the ease of access that Expedia offers travel agents around the world. Building immersive and attractive packages for clients is the most important aspect for any travel agent, and the reliability and range of offers available on the TAAP platform made my life a lot easier!

At the event this afternoon, Expedia TAAP’s Gareth Davis, Director of the UK and Ireland, visiting from the headquarters in UK told our travel agents about some exciting updates on its travel agent’s programme.

Firstly and most exciting for travel agents across Ireland, Expedia is reintroducing its packages programme in 2025 which gives Irish travel agents the ability to book flights and accommodation through the platform which will be covered by Expedia’s ATOL license for their outbound travel groups.

Secondly, a new deferred payment credit means that travel agents will be able to make a booking on Expedia TAAP up to 365 days in advance, and pay just two weeks before travel which will reduce cash flow pressures on smaller travel agents across the country.

Expedia TAAP and its agents are optimistic about the year ahead and are looking forward to providing a range of new and exciting opportunities to their clients travelling in 2025!
