Circus entertainment, DJ and more
A day filled with sport, entertainment and more takes place at Pearse Park in New Ross on Sunday, June 30.
Sports Active Wexford, in partnership Healthy Wexford, has announced the New Ross Family Fun Day.
Billed as a perfect start to the summer holidays, the organisers are praying for great weather. Taking place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., there will be fun, activities, and entertainment for the whole family.
Get ready to groove as Rathnure Pantomime Society’s DJs, Liam Sharkey and John Reilly, bring the sound of summer to life. Expect some famous characters to make appearances and join in on the fun and games!
The day promises a variety of activities, including circus entertainment, face painting, and a special visit from Dino Springs. For those seeking a challenge, New Ross Rugby Football Club, FAI Soccer, Wexford Cricket Club, and Wexford GAA will be on hand to teach new skills or test your abilities.
“We especially love seeing kids take on their parents and come out victorious!” said Healthy County Coordinator with Wexford County Council, Annette Dupuy.
“This event is designed to encourage families to kick-start the summer holidays with quality time together outdoors. Pearse Park, the gem of New Ross and arguably the finest town park in the country, offers the perfect setting for relaxation and recreation. Bring a rug, pack a picnic, and immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere and activities on offer.
“We are thrilled to be able to provide a free fun day to the families of New Ross and be able to utilise the beautiful Pearse Park. We hope it will encourage families to get out and get active. Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to enjoy a fun-filled day with your family and community. We look forward to seeing you there!”
