Government formation talks will reconvene this week.

As government formation talks reconvene this week, Fianna Fáil is calling for a dedicated department for all things migration.

As it stands, some elements relating to migration, such as accommodation for asylum seekers, are under the Department of Children and Integration.

Deputy James Browne, Minister of State for International Law Reform and Youth Justice at the Department of Justice, is part of Fianna Fáil’s negotiating team.

He says having a dedicated department would be more efficient:
