BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Capital Grille, which has been under construction for the past year, is tentatively scheduled to open on Sept. 8 in Newtown Township, the restaurant’s website announced this week. When the new 8,000-square-foot restaurant opens, it will be the first in Bucks County and the fourth in Pennsylvania.
Speaking of fine dining, the Boiler Room at the Shops at the Square has completed its transition from a craft cocktail and wine bar to a full-service fine dining restaurant. At the heart of the new Boiler Room is Chef Vincent Minissale who has created a changing seasonal menu composed of dishes “crafted with skills and techniques” he gained through years of culinary work, exploration, and experimentation.
Big Blue Swim School opened its third location in Pennsylvania this week in Warminster Township. Big Blue Swim School Warminster will offer weekly, year-round 30 to 45-minute swim lessons for children beginning at just three months old, seven days a week.

Capital Grille Has Tentative Opening Date For First Bucks Location
The Capital Grille, an exclusive upscale fine dining restaurant and steakhouse, is tentatively scheduled to open on Sept. 8 in Newtown Township, according to the restaurant’s website. Construction has been ongoing at the future site of the new restaurant at the Village at Newtown since it received conditional use approval from the township supervisors in June 2023. When the new 8,000-square-foot, 200-seat restaurant opens inside the former Pier One Imports store on the east side of the shopping center, it will be the first Capital Grille in Bucks County and the fourth in Pennsylvania. Boiler Room Brings Fine Dining To Dublin’s Shops On The Square
The Boiler Room, which began as a cocktail and wine bar at the Shops at the Square in Dublin, is now offering fine dining in the heart of Dublin Borough. Earlier this year, the owners acquired a full-service liquor license and transitioned to a full restaurant and bar operation. At the heart of the new Boiler Room is Chef Vincent Minissale who has created a changing seasonal menu composed of dishes “crafted with skills and techniques” he gained through years of culinary work, exploration, and experimentation. “The choice of ingredients, locally sourced and thoughtfully prepared, will delight the senses and excite the palate,” says the chef. Guru’s Indian Cuisine In Newtown Changes Ownership
Chef Ashni “Baba” Kumar and Priya Guru have sold their popular Indian restaurant in Newtown to a new owner, but the business is staying in the family and meat options will be returning to the menu. Samarth Joshi, Priya’s 28-year-old nephew, will take the reins of Guru’s Indian Cuisine, located at 203 North Sycamore Street, effective August 1. Joshi, originally from the Gujarat province of India, moved to the U.S. last year from Ontario, Canada. He has spent the past year learning the ropes of the restaurant business by helping his aunt and uncle at Guru’s. Established in 2015, Guru’s Indian Cuisine is recognized for innovative interpretations of traditional Indian cuisine from diverse Indian states, as well as unique fusions of these classic recipes with Indo-Chinese and Mexican culinary influences. For a limited time only, the Yardley and Newtown Ice Houses will be offering Borscht Beet Gelati, a new summertime flavor being offered through a partnership with the Borscht Belt of Newtown. Before you discount the flavor, read the words of Chef Nick Liberato of the Borscht Belt who partnered with the ice house owner Jackie McGonigal in the development of its newest refreshing treat created to help “beet” the heat of summer. “It has a really nice light refreshing, earthy flavor of beets,” said Chef Liberato. “When we put it in the machine, it certainly added a creaminess to the texture and the flavor is surprisingly smooth and sweet.” Click here to read the Patch story.
