Dublin Fire Brigade tackle fire on Killiney Hill

Dublin Fire Brigade are at the scene of a gorse wildfire in south Dublin, where three fire engines, a wildfire response jeep and water tanker have been dispatched to tackle the blaze.

The incident is ongoing at Mullins Hill in Killiney and has been attended by Dun Laoghaire firefighters who are “working hard and making good progress” as they work to extinguish the wildfire, a spokesperson for the fire service said.

“Three fire engines, a wildfire response jeep and water tanker are dealing with a gorse wildfire on Mullins Hill,” they said in an update shared to X.

“A strong wind is driving smoke across a wide area but firefighters are working hard and making good progress at the incident.”
