The news that Brian Dooher and Feargal Logan were stepping down as joint-managers of Tyrone landed last Monday night. It was not exactly a bombshell, even if over nine weeks had passed since their championship exit.

The duo had succeeded Mickey Harte in late 2020. Now they were bowing out a week after the same Mickey Harte was announced as joint-manager of Offaly, joining the incumbent Declan Kelly in a spectacular coup/awkwardly arranged marriage (we’ll let posterity decide).
