COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — Football season is officially here (hold for applause).
One of the greatest American traditions returns to the gridiron tonight at high schools across the state of Ohio, football, under the lights, on a Friday night. It’s an escape for fans and players alike for 48 minutes every week.
With the return of high school football comes the return of Central Ohio Toyota Dealer’s Friday Night Rivals. FNR will air a game each week live on the CW, the ABC 6 News App, ABC 6 Youtube channel, and on the ABC 6 Website.
Our first-week matchup features the Celtics of Dublin Jerome traveling to take on the Westerville South Wildcats.
Last year, the Celtics finished 3-8, while the Wildcats finished 7-5. Jerome defeated South 30-15 in last season’s opener.
On the call will be the legendary Marty Bannister, former OSU RB Jeff Logan, and our very own Kellyanne Stitts.
