England’s Georgia Hall will compete in the KPMG Women’s Irish Open from August 29 to September 1.

The 2018 Ricoh Women’s British Open champion will tee it up on the O’Meara Course at Carton House, a Fairmont Managed Hotel where she will compete against her Solheim Cup teammate Leona Maguire.

A win for the English golfer at the KPMG Women’s Irish Open would give the 28-year-old her fifth career title to add to her 2 LPGA Tour wins and 2 LET Tour victories.

The 32nd Rolex world ranked golfer will bring a wealth of experience to the event, having played in four Solheim Cups.

Hall said: “I am excited to play in the KPMG Women’s Irish Open. I have always heard great things about the event, and I know Carton House will be a fantastic host venue, with its stunning hotel and course.

“I have played in Ireland a few times and have always felt so welcomed by the Irish golf fans. They certainly provide a great atmosphere, and I cannot wait to tee it up for them later this year.”

Eimear McManus, Managing Director of ForeFront Communications said: “We can’t wait to watch Georgia Hall compete at this year’s KPMG Women’s Irish Open.

“She is an outstanding player who will bring a great level of competitiveness to the field and will be one to watch during the week.

“The event and our sponsors are committed and driven to continue the growth of the KPMG Women’s Irish Open year on year.

“It is a key event on the calendar with one of the strongest fields on the Ladies European Tour and we’re looking forward to welcoming over 30,000 fans to Carton House, a Fairmont Managed Hotel this August.”

Ladies European Tour players, Lauren Walsh (Ireland) and Germany’s Olivia Cowan have also been confirmed as players in this year’s KPMG Women’s Irish Open, along with LPGA player Leona Maguire.

The addition of these players will increase the strength of the field and provide spectators with a week filled with top-class golf.
