Meanwhile, Dublin Bus has announced its timetable for Christmas, which includes a reduction in its services, including the Nitelink.
While in recent times, the closures over weekends that residents of Bray and Greystones have been accustomed to have been fairly clear-cut (no Darts ran between Bray and Dublin full stop), the complicated Christmas alterations at a time when most people will be imbibing will create its fair share of havoc. So plan accordingly.
In a nutshell, the adjustments mean there will be late night Dart services operating in the lead-up to Christmas from Thursday to Saturday on December 12 to 14 and 19 to 21 and after midnight on New Year’s Eve. The times of last trains over the Christmas period from Dublin to Bray/Greystones are: 00:35 and 01:35 from Dublin Connolly serving all stations to Greystones.
The other main point to note about the Darts over Christmas is that over the works-affected period – from Thursday December 26 to Friday January 5 inclusive – Connolly Station will be fully operational with the exception of platform seven, and Grand Canal Dock Station will be fully operational.
