THE MONTHLY Junior tournament for Gorey Tennis Club members took place on what turned out to be one of the finest days of the year.
Plenty of sunscreen was required, with the summer sun making a welcome appearance at last. Coach Jamie Stafford set out the order of play and organised the matches. Congratulations to all players for participating this month, and to the eventual winners.
Thanks to Leona and Christine for helping with umpire duties and supplying well-earned refreshments.
There will be no tournament in June due to the Senior championships. The next Junior tournament will be the annual Wimbledon event in July.
