This high-flying couple took the leap into farming when they fell in love with an abandoned olive grove in Italy – and now they are selling 500ml bottles for €75
When Laura and Ed Miller had their first vacation together in Italy, it was a much-needed break from their corporate lives back in Dublin. A quarter of a century later, they find themselves back in Maremma – a coastal corner Tuscany where they now farm 900 olive trees to produce olive oil from their 30 ac farm.
“We always had the idea that once our three children finished school, we would move out of Ireland,” says Laura. “Our first holiday was to Italy. We’ve been back every single year since. On one of those trips, we found this abandoned farm in Maremma and we never looked back.”
