India will open its campaign in the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 on Wednesday (June 5) against Ireland. The second Group A match is scheduled to take place at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. India holds the record for winning most matches in T20 World Cup history, and under Rohit Sharma’s leadership, the world No. 1 T20I team would like to extend the win record.

During the second Group A match in Nottingham on June 10, 2009, the MS Dhoni-led Indian team defeated the Irish men by 8 wickets. The Men in Blue will be desperate to repeat the same result and get off to a flying start in the 2024 T20 World Cup.
