Ireland lost by 41 runs to Sri Lanka in their final T20 World Cup warm-up match in Florida.
Sri Lanka scored 163 for eight after being inserted to bat at Broward County Stadium, thanks in part to 32 not out from veteran all-rounder Angelo Matthews.
Josh Little and Barry McCarthy took two wickets each, while Craig Young took a superb diving catch to dismiss Dhananjaya de Silva.
But hauling Sri Lanka in would prove too great a stretch for Heinrich Malan’s side.
Curtis Campher top-scored with 26 after opener Paul Stirling hit 21, but Dasun Shanaka’s four for 23 proved decisive as Ireland lost ahead of their World Cup opener against India on Wednesday.
