It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in the Capital where the countdown is officially on to the launch of Ireland’s first Ice Museum.

As the name suggests Christmas Spectacular is a festive wonderland that is due to set up shop in Smithfield Square in November and run until the New Year.

The nation’s newest attraction includes a host of family-friendly events including Ireland’s first Ice Museum.

Visitors are advised to wrap up warm as they tour expertly crafted ice sculptures and then warm up by whizzing around the purpose-built ice rink.

Christmas Spectacular will also include a Big Wheel offering bird’s eye views of the festive setup and the Dublin skyline.

You can then enjoy a festive mulled wine or warm cider at the Christmas market which will be decked out in twinkling fairy lights and packed with festive food and drink options, handmade crafts, and gifts.

Also setting the festive mood will be the Nutcracker Snug which has been designed to be a cosy Alpine-like pitstop amid all of the festivities.

Christmas Spectacular will run from 22 November through to 2 January 2025 from 11 am – 9 pm. Tickets are now on sale and pre-booking is advised.

Relaxed timeslots will also be in operation for the Ice Museum and Ice Rink. See more online.
