Situated just outside the picturesque village of Castlegregory in Kerry, Fermoyle Strand stands as one of the most breathtaking coastal gems in Ireland.

It stretches for a whopping 14 kilometres along the Atlantic Ocean, making it Ireland’s longest beach.

Renowned for its pristine white sands and clear, turquoise waters, the beach has become a popular summer destination for both locals and tourists from around the world.

Visitors to Fermoyle Strand are greeted with stunning views of rolling dunes, dramatic cliffs, and expansive sandy shores, adding to its coastal charm.

This stunning spot is nestled between the majestic Mount Brandon to the north and the Maharees Peninsula to the south, which creates a calm and serene atmosphere.

What’s more, Fermoyle Strand is just a 30-minute drive from Tralee making it an easily accessible spot for a day trip or even a longer stay.

The beach is also known as a haven for water sports enthusiasts, attracting visitors from around the globe who come to ride the waves and see the natural beauty of west Kerry.

During the summer months, dolphins and other marine life can often be spotted in the waters, offering tourists an incredible experience along the Atlantic Ocean.
